Site Location

There are a number of sites along Ryan Lake’s north shore, and this is certainly one of them! Like most of these sites, it sits on a strip of mostly flat terrain along the water. There’s a slight rise to get from the canoe landing (which is actually quite nice. No underwater obstructions and an easy in and out), but once you’re up on the site proper it’s very easy to navigate.

This site is wider than it is deep, and offers a couple of decent tent spots along with a very basic fire pit area. I did like the location of the pit, close to the front of the site with a nice, if partially obstructed view of Ryan. Other than that, I don’t recall there being any log benches or really any accessories at all, unless you count a couple of large rocks that are nearby.

The swimming looks to be pretty decent here. The underwater terrain seemed relatively free of things you could stub your toe on. The view out to the water is partially obstructed from most of the site, but it’s a nice view!

Are there better sites nearby? I’d lump a lot of the sites along Ryan’s north shore onto the same level. I might give a bit of preference to this one over its neighbours only because it’s at the end of the row so theoretically would be a bit more private.
