Nadine Lake is gorgeous. The water is clear and, as you can see from the headline picture, looks green in the right light. This is a great little site to appreciate Nadine from on the North shore. It’s got great views south and easy, and is well laid out and situated. The fire pit is in the middle of the site, far enough back from the water that some of the onshore wind is cut by the trees, close enough that you have a nice view out to the lake. The site slopes gradually up from the lake, and there aren’t many truly level patches, but it’s not like you’re sleeping on the side of a mountain, either. There’s room for a couple of tents, and the tent pads are flat enough.

Approaching the site from the water you’ll notice there are a couple of spots that look decent for landing. The most obvious one, which is near the middle of the site’s shoreline, makes for an easy in and out. The underwater terrain is rocky, with a few larger rocks to think about when you’re wading in for a swim, but nothing big enough to present a challenge when you’re landing your canoe.

Are there better sites nearby? This is the only site I stopped at on Nadine, so I can’t answer this properly. What I can say is that I doubt you’d be disappointed if you stayed here.
