This is a pretty average site. There’s nothing really wrong with it, and nothing that really stands out about it either. It’s a level site. Once you make the six inch step up from the water to the shore, it’s mostly flat. The canoe landing area is decent. There aren’t too many underwater obstructions, and you can parallel park across the front of the site. This isn’t a huge site. There’s room for a couple of tents at most, and the ground is a dotted with rocks and roots that might make finding a not-lumpy sleeping spot a bit of a challenge. On the plus side, the fire pit area is nicely set up with a good view out to the water. Overall, this wouldn’t be my first choice on Round Island, but it wouldn’t be my last, either.

Are there better sites nearby? Yes. I’d take both Site 2 and Site 4 over this one.
